A wooden wagon wheel has four parts: the wheel, the spokes, the hub—the center of the wheel that holds the spokes in place, and a metal rim that bands the whole thing together. If any part is removed, the whole thing will fall apart. The Missional Wisdom Foundation (MWF) uses the idea of the hub to locate itself across the United States. The hubs reach out to their communities who then pour their wisdom and imagination back into the hub. The whole is encircled by teaching and leadership and banded by a stance of missional love.
Each of our hubs serve as connecting points for both teaching and experimentation in ways that reflect the people and communities from which they have grown. We currently have two hubs, which are in Asheville, North Carolina, and Dallas, Texas.
