Incarnational Group Guide:

This guide creates a space within which a group can explore what it means to live and Christian life in community. The guide uses Philippians 2:1–18, the Hymn of Kenosis, to explore loving God and neighbor as a spiritual practice. It includes a practice of self reflection, confession, reflection, guided response sections, and blessing. No preparation is required to use this guide beyond being familiar with the format.

Incarnational Study:

This study uses the book, Simple Harmony, by Larry Duggins and the second chapter of Philippians to explore balance in the spiritual life. Where do we start? What is most important in loving God and others? Who counts? How do you participate for the long run? What about difficult people and situations?

If you are part of a community, large or small, join us as we wrestle with how balance, generosity, and a love contribute to creating communities of deep grace. Community, if taken seriously, is difficult, complicated, and a deeply rewarding spiritual practice. Join us for a walk through the model of balance found in Larry Duggins’s Simple Harmony.

The Incarnational Group Guides are a set of fully guided liturgies that help small groups lean into the grace found in community. The Incarnational Group Guides can stand alone as small group facilitators or can be used in conjuction with the other components of the Incarnational Study Series.
